Our "Casa (h0use)" is located in the north of Sardinia in the village of La Ciaccia, just a few kilometers away from Castelsardo. The village is characterized by its location as a great starting point for sightseeing, trying different sports activities or for getting to know gastronomy - agrotourism.

Castelsardo

Castelsardo, after "Sassarian" Castheddu Sardhu is a medieval town with 5,711 inhabitants in the metropolitan city of Sassari in Sardinia and belongs to the association I borghi più belli d'Italia. (The most beautiful places in Italy). It is built on a rock above the sea about 20 min. away. Narrow streets lead to the Castello dei Doria, from where there is a wonderful view of the entire bay. The city is also known for its traditional basket weaving and authentic Sardinian atmosphere.

Stintino, La Pelosa & Asinara

La Pelosa, located not far from Alghero in Stintino, is the most famous beach of northern Sardinia. Its sand and turquoise water cannot be compared to any other on the island. If you want to experience this beach and its surroundings in an untouched version, visit it outside the high season, as the beach is very crowded in the summer months, so you have to reserve a place in advance if you want to go swimming on it. Do not forget to take bamboo mats with you, as you risk a fine if you place your towel directly on the sand. If you want to experience Stintino from the sea side, you can book a day trip to the island of Asinara, where you can observe the unique white donkeys.

Aggius & Natural Park

Parco Santa Degna

The picturesque mountain village of Aggius is one of the most beautiful in Sardinia. In its surroundings there is a nature park with huge granite rocks, hiking trails and beautiful views of the Gallura landscape. An ideal place for a walk, picnic or light hiking. It is also suitable as a trip for children, as the park has a rich fauna. While walking through the town, you can also notice preserved period houses. Nearby is the Limbara mountain range, which is perfect for panoramic trekking. If you get hungry, head to the authentic Neapolitan pizzeria Antiga pizzaria Aggius.

Alghero

Alghero is one of the most beautiful towns in north-west Sardinia, about 1 hour's drive from La Ciaccia. The city has a beautiful historic center surrounded by old walls, narrow stone streets, small squares and a pleasant seaside atmosphere with many cafes, gelaterias and shops. One of Sardinia's most famous natural attractions, the Grotta di Nettuno cave, is located nearby. Located beneath the cliffs of Capo Caccia, this sea cave is full of impressive stalactites, stalagmites and underground lakes. You can eat at Focacceria Miles - a legendary small bistro in the historic center, which is very popular among locals and tourists.

Natural Spa Casteldoria

Natural thermal baths by the river Coghinas, about 15 min. away. This place is considered unique, which you will not find anywhere else on the island. Hot mineral water rich in iodine and bromine springs directly in nature and creates small lakes and mud baths. The place is known for its relaxing and healing effects and is ideal for relaxing after a day at the beach or on a day when the weather is drier and you want to warm up a bit. Take your water shoes with you.

Archipelago La Maddalena

A national park consisting of many islands with incredibly clear turquoise water. A boat trip is one of the most beautiful experiences in Sardinia - swimming in coves, white beaches and nature that looks like it's from the Caribbean. Boat trips depart most often from Palau. If you want to experience a family trip that you will remember forever, rent a motorboat in the bay of Conca Verde and go to the island of Isola Spargi, where you can spend an unforgettable day full of swimming, discovering beautiful beaches and jumping into the water. Don't forget to pack food and drink for the day and snorkeling gear on the boat.

Spiaggia San Pietro a Mare

A beautiful long sandy beach only 5 min from our house near the town of Valledoria. The beach has fine light sand, a gradual entrance to the sea and is ideal for families with children. Thanks to the open space and the wind, it is also popular among kitesurfing and windsurfing lovers. At the end of the beach, the river Coghinas empties, creating interesting natural scenery and peaceful places for sunset walks

Santa Teresa di Gallura & Capo Testa

A pleasant port town in the north of Sardinia with a beautiful historic center, many restaurants and shops. The most famous is Rena Bianca beach with turquoise water and a view of Corsica. From Santa Teresa you can also take boat trips to the La Maddalena archipelago or Corsica. The nearby Capo Testa is a jagged peninsula with fascinating wind-shaped granite rocks, connected to Sardinia by a narrow isthmus with small beaches on either side. There is also a lighthouse from the vicinity of which you can watch a beautiful sunset in the evening. Capo Testa is one of the most photogenic places in the north of Sardinia.

Isola Rossa

A picturesque seaside town about 20 minutes by car from La Ciaccia. It is famous for its red rocks, small harbor and nice beaches like Spiaggia Longa or La Marinedda with pink sand, popular with surfers. In the evening, you will find a pleasant promenade with restaurants and ice cream parlors. If you would like to rent a boat, you can do so at the port. The Aquafantasy family water park is also nearby. Here you will find swimming pools, slides, children's attractions and a view of the sea. It is a great program especially for families with children or on a day when the sea is too windy.
